Make sure you cross this destination off your list when visiting Paris. Jardin du Luxembourg is one of the oldest parks in France and was once land to royalty. It was designed in the formal French style with precisely planted rows of trees, trim hedges, immaculate lawns, grand fountains, ponds and benched-lined gravel pathways. Now isn’t this the perfect runway for myself and Janine?!?!
The park lawns were filled with students and residents of the Latin Quarters and of course the occasional visitors such as us, who dresses up to go to the park :)
If you know me, then you know I’m big on tailored activewear. This 3-button jersey cotton suit by Undercover x Uniqlo is crazy comfy, lightweight and most importantly it looks smoooooove!!! It also has useful pockets in all the right places and a marled finish which gives this suit some added puh~NASH! I’ve been a fan of both Jun Takahashi and Uniqlo and the pairing of the two makes perfect sense. Uncdercover’s high-end street style mixed with Uniqlo’s affordable and simplistic approach represents a unique collection of modern family swag.
Quick history lesson: The grand Palais du Luxembourg behind me here was built for Marie de’ Médicis, widow of Henri IV in 1627. During the Revolution it became a prison and since 1879, it resides as a seat of the French senate. But for now and just for now, it’s the backdrop for the man with the silver shoes!
Still feeling the effects of ACNE’s spring collection, this look was inspired by one of the outfits off the runway show. A mint dress, black shoes and a camel jacket was the exact outfit, but we replaced the jacket with a snakeskin cardigan and pops of red for some added punch to a cutesy dress.
After a long stroll through Luxembourg, we took a quick pit stop at the Notre-Dame cathedral. Double shaka’s!
