MCNASTY

I was PSYCHED once I heard Mark McNairy was launching his spring/summer 2013 collection for the first time here at New York Fashion Week. The everything but conventional collection featured a plethora of influences that nods to streetwear, prep, military and safari all-in-one and done in a rock & roll kinda Puh~NASH. Prints exploded with polk-a-dots, green globes, mixtures of plaids, animal prints, camo and McNasty’s signature daisy floral over everything and of course his expressive graphic tees. He even threw in a blown up dollar bill print and a gold metallic suit that rapper Danny Brown rocked to close the show. Yes, it was a festive of prints, but it was all tied-together by using them in updated classic pieces and traditional silhouette’s that grounded this “Rock & Roll Circus”. Overall it was a playful, BADASS collection and a great first run for McNasty at NYFW.
